Joyce joined the Glebe in October 2005, bringing several decades of experience in adult rehabilitation and senior care. Her formal education includes a B.S. in Physical Therapy, extensive graduate studies in community health and gerontology, as well as a M.S. in Health Care Management. She has held Rehab Director positions at Rehab Hospitals, Outpatient Hand and PT Clinics, Extended Care Facilities and Life Care communities. Joyce has led facilities to successful JCAHO and CARF accreditations, Rehab Agency certifications and been a member of several Governor Task Force committees for Traumatic Brain Injury, Alzheimer’s and HMO Rehabilitative programming.
Joyce’s clinical expertise includes neuro-rehabilitation, geriatrics, gait and balance deficits, wellness promotion and education for residents, patients and staff. Joyce presently manages the department staff and services insuring Medicare regulatory and clinical compliance. She provides physical therapy evaluations, treatments, PTAssistant supervision; teaches weekly Balance Classes, provides individual consultations, screenings and recommendations upon request.
Joyce is part of the Health Services interdisciplinary team that provides comprehensive, collaborative programs to the Health Care and Assisted Living residents. She and her team work closely with area physicians, vendors and other practitioners to insure the best interventions for all the Glebe residents.
